Letter: Residents of 'no-go Britain' are more angry than frightened

EACH of your references to Ferguslie Park in 'Fear rules in no-go Britain' (17 April) was wrong. Population statistics are available; you have only to ask. The number of murders quoted for the past 12 months applies to the whole of Paisley (population 76,000) not to Ferguslie Park (5,000). Strathclyde Police may well be testing body armour for its officers; you should state the context rather than imply the testing was for this area alone. Ferguslie Park's unemployment rate is not 10.4 per cent. It is, unfortunately, several times higher.
