Letter: Royal air-raids
WHEN A N WILSON says "one little bomb" fell on Buckingham Palace during the war he omits to mention that it destroyed the Chapel ("Carry on spending, Ma'am, we're used to it", 21 March). Five others fell in the same direct attack, in the forecourt, quadrangle and garden, so close that King George VI wrote in his diary "We all wondered why we weren't dead".
