4 signs you're in the wrong relationship

How do you know when you're with the right person? A 2014 survey found that the third biggest regret among people over 50 was marrying the wrong person, with 18 per cent of those surveyed saying that regretted marrying their partner.

Doesn't sound like the future you always imagined for yourself, does it?

Ideally, we'd nip relationships in the bud before it got to that point, but to help users of secrets and confessions app Whisper have taken to their keyboards to give their advice on how you can you tell if you're with the wrong person before it's too late.

1. How much you want each other

One user advised that you pay attention to the quality of sex, since according to them it's "a proxy for how much you actually want each other".

2. What do your friends and family think?

Meanwhile, several people said to look to others for advice because "your family and friends know what's best". "Also," another user said "If people are raising the red flag, do your best to step outside the relationship and ask what advice you would be giving yourself about it".

3. Are you fighting?

Others people recommended some more simple principles to live by when it comes to working out when to end a relationship: "When there're more crying than laughing," or if "You have thought 'you're a f**king idiot more than 15 times a day'".

4. But when it all comes down to it...

By far the most original, and perhaps useful piece of advice was as follows: "If they don't give you the same feeling as when the pizza guy arrives they're probably not the one".
