At the half-year mark, there a big changes in the boys list with Asher reclaiming the crown from Ezra at number one.

And that’s not all, nearly a fifth of all the boys’ names in the top 100 are completely new compared to last year’s list.

Moving into the spotlight this time are monikers like Kane, Magnus, Arlo and Cassius, according to nameberry.

While those that made the top 10 are Atticus, Jack, Milo, Silas, Wyatt, and Theodore.

When it comes to the girls, things remain fairly steady with Olivia holding on to the top spot and Amelia and Charlotte remaining in second and third place.

Unlike the boys, the new names to the top 10 are more classic like Evelyn, Penelope and Eleanor as well as Isabella, Ava and Aurora.

More surprising names such as Celeste, Ines and Saskia also made it into the top 100.

Nameberry calculated the list by looking at traffic data of the most viewed names by the sites visitors in the first half of 2017.

The site said this method has previously been found to be one of the best ways to gauge future name popularity and also current trends.
