The Intelligent Consumer: Return of The Saint

Get the look ... and get it right

The most endearing image of The Saint is of a man wearing a nice polo-neck jersey. But The Saint - or Simon Templar - was a master of disguise and changed his clothes often in an attempt to stay incognito. Forget the recent remake starring Val Kilmer, the real saint was Roger Moore in the Sixties' series, with his impeccable suits (three button), tuxedos, slacks, sharp shoes and, of course, that tight polo. Although Templar's wardrobe was very much influenced by the decade the series was made, The Saint was created by Leslie Charteris way back in 1928 (and, like the character he created, Charteris was always impeccably dressed). This is an excuse to lay your clothes out the night before and adopt that faux casual playboy style you've been dying for. Da na na na na na. AB
