Crash (9pm C4) "Fatal Attraction", the second of three programmes about the danger of cars, shows how we feel unrealistically safe cocooned within our vehicles. Forget drugs or handguns; the fact is that road accidents are still the biggest cause of death for children under 14 in the USA.

Inside Story (9.30pm BBC1) Given the recent storm about the Government's proposals for single mothers' allowances, "Teenage Mums" is showing at a topical moment. Cathy Elliott's documentary examines the difficulties girls of school age face when they fall pregnant. Jade, 18, is mother to a four-year-old son. When her mother found out that she was expecting, she chucked her out of the family home. Jade has been forced to come to terms with being rejected.
