Over 40,000 visitors from around the world will flock to the 26 CTIA Wireless exhibition in California. Next month all eyes turn towards the 50th iSaloni, one of the biggest events in the design world's calendar.
26th CTIA Wireless 2011
Orange County Convention Center
United States, California
Around 1000 exhibitors and 40,000 visitors will attend the 26th CTIA Wireless, a showcase of the latest wireless and converged communications technologies. From a household perspective one of the highlights of the event will be the Smarter Planet pavilion, featuring home tech, and the Retail Launch Pad, which showcases new products. Unlike Mobile World Congress earlier in the year (Barcelona, February14-17), which focuses on consumer devices, CTIA is more about the technologies that empower such products.
Domotex Asia /China Floor
Shanghai New International Expo Center
The Domotex trade exhibition attracts specialists in the world of carpeting and flooring from around the world. Last year's Domotex Asia attracted over 40,000 visitors of which around 20 percent were from outside of China - the country in which it is hosted. Similar trade show Domotex Hannover took place earlier this year (January 15-18) and attracted around 38,000 visitors. Though IMM Cologne (January 18-23) also attracts flooring specialists, Domotex is more focused on this specialist area.
50th I Saloni
The I Saloni international furnishings and accessories exhibition showcases the latest products and trends across the fields of 'accessories', 'objects', 'ornaments' and 'textiles,' often reinforcing the trends set earlier in the year at IMM Cologne (January 18-23). The 2010 event occupied over 20,000 square meters of floor space and attracted around 2,500 Italian and international exhibitors and over 297,000 visitors. The event is open to the general public on April 17. I Saloni is one of the biggest design events of the year and overshadows the Hong Kong Housewares fair (April 20-23) and Grand Designs London (April 30- May 8).
Hong Kong Houseware Fair
Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center
For trade professionals only, the annual Hong Kong Houseware Fair attracts around 2,000 exhibitors and 25,000 buyers from the home design and appliance industries. This year's event features three themed zones, high-end designers at the Hall of Elegance, kitchen and tableware accessories in Fine Dining, and the ASEAN Select - a pavilion dedicated to exhibitors from geo-political organization the Association of Southeast Asian Nations. The Hong Kong International Home Textiles Fair will be running concurrent to this event.
