THE COST of selling a pounds 60,000 property currently averages pounds 1,947 - 25 per cent less than 10 years ago, according to Woolwich Building Society's latest cost of moving survey. Moving costs have declined dramatically in all parts of the country, largely because of the increase in the stamp duty threshold to pounds 60,000 and more competition in the conveyancing market.
