Money in Brief: Free leaflets

The Council of Mortgage Lenders has launched free guides on how to buy a house and on how mortgage tax relief is calculated. A separate guide is available for Scotland.

The Building Societies Association is offering free leaflets to savers with details of how building society interest is taxed and when interest can be paid gross.
