Here's an exclusive competition where four lucky readers could win the latest iPhone. The prizes are being offered to Bargain Hunter readers by Moni, a new international money- transfer app designed to simplify sending cash to family and friends abroad.

Once registered, you can set up an account and make transfers from a mobile device or tablet.

The app allows you to send money from your bank account directly into your chosen recipient's bank account while they're overseas.

The person to whom you're sending the money will need to download the app as well, and it only works in 50 countries, although these include most of the main ones that friends and are likely to visit.

The cost for sending cash is 99p, plus there's a 1 per cent foreign exchange transfer fee. But the man behind the app reckons it could save an average of 79 per cent compared with transferring money through your bank or one of the main money- transfer companies.

Who is the man behind it? It's the former Google senior executive Laurence Aderemi, who says: "Moni uses secure technology and the ubiquity of smartphones to benefit consumers, by taking out the expensive middle man and reducing the costs of international money transfers."

Up for offer in our competition are four brand new white iPhone 6 models, with a 4.7-inch display; they normally sell for £539 each. To be in with a chance of winning one, send the answer to the following question to yourmoney@independent.co.uk by Thursday 19 February.

Which classic pop song starts with the words: "Calling out around the world"?

Scrum is forming for food and drink discounts

Are you going to be watching the Six Nations rugby over the next few weeks? You can get up to £12 off food and drink during the championship if you order through the app Orderella and pay via PayPal.

The offer is available from today and runs until Saturday 21 March, and Orderella will give you £6 off your first food and drinks order when paying via PayPal, and then £6 off your third order too.

To take advantage, download the free app Orderella (available on iOS and Android) and link it up to your PayPal account.

Cut flight costs by being flexible with your itinerary

Looking to cut the cost of flying abroad? Travel experts say booking trips for four, six or nine days – rather than the usual seven, ten or fourteen – can reduce flight prices.

You can find out which are the cheapest times to fly through the website Momondo.co.uk. The more flexible you are with dates and times, the cheaper it may be. Flight-comparison sites such as Kayak.co.uk and Skyscanner.net will help you track down the best deals, while you'll find cut-price charter flights with tour companies at Charterflights.co.uk and Avro.co.uk.
