Assad proposes meeting with Clinton
WASHINGTON (AP) - President Hafez al-Assad of Syria proposed meeting President Bill Clinton to discuss the Middle East peace process and Syrian-Israeli talks over the Golan Heights. The proposal was relayed by the Foreign Minister, Farouk Sharaa.
