1. LDL – email sign-off "let's discuss live" – so staff could talk complex deals face-to-face (and perhaps avoid doing so on email)
2. Thin files – borrowers with good credit because they'd never had a loan
3. Widows and orphans – Wall Street euphemism for unsuspecting investors (see also, "muppets")
4. Compensation Communication Day – bonus day!
5. Cats and dogs – risky financial instruments (as used in an email by CEO Lloyd Blankfein)
