SHARE PRICES on Wall Street remained subdued in light trading volume ahead of the FOMC decision. By late morning the Dow Jones was down 50 points at 10,765.

Most dealers were assuming a rise of only 0.25 per cent in interest rates but the long bond was down and the yield edged up to 6.095 per cent. AT&T, Sprint and MCI WorldCom eased on pessimistic broker research, Vodafone Airtouch dipped 2.75 at $196 3/8 on its opening day.
