STOCKS ended a dull session slightly lower yesterday as the lack of corporate developments and economic news prompted dealers to remain on the sidelines.

The FTSE 100 closed 15.1 lower at 6,353.1. An uncertain start on Wall Street failed to spur London and volume failed to reach a billion for only the fourth time in a month. Second liners were also sluggish, with the mid cap ending 16 points down at 5718.3 and the Small Cap posting a 5.4 rise to 2566.1.
