The CEO of a Chinese company decided to celebrate its 20th anniversary in style by sending over 6,000 of his employees on a four-day holiday to France.

Billionaire Tiens boss Li Jinyuan booked 4,760 rooms in luxury hotels for the all-expenses paid staff trip to Paris and Nice.

Christian Mantel, head of the French tourism development agency, told AFP it mobilised public services, hotels, restaurants and shops especially for the visit, which reportedly cost a staggering 13 million euros.

The group spent their first two days in Paris, where Li and his staff were met by Laurent Fabius, France's Foreign Minister.

It then took 147 buses to transport the group to Nice, where they gathered along the promenade and broke the Guinness World Record for forming the largest human sentence with "Tiens' dream is Nice in the Cote d'Azur", according to CNN.

The multinational Tiens company works across a network of business interests including tourism and finance. It was founded by Li in 1995.
