Blackburn takes property post
MIKE BLACKBURN, the former Halifax chief executive who stepped down in December, has been appointed deputy chairman of Town Centre Securities, a Leeds-based property company. Mr Blackburn (pictured) is joining as a non-executive at Town Centre, chaired by Arnold Ziff, a former boardroom colleague at the Halifax.
Mr Blackburn retired a year earlier than expected amid rumours of a disagreement with the chairman, Jon Foulds, over strategy. Mr Blackburn denies the rumours.
