Amberley Group, building preservation services provider, achieved pounds 21,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 79,000) in six months to 30 September. EPS 0.22p (LPS 1.44p). No dividend.

Year to 30 September

Aukett Associates, the architect and planner, reduced taxable losses from pounds 3.9m to pounds 2.25m, despite a fall in turnover to pounds 6.9m (pounds 8.5m). LPS is cut to 16.8p (28.8p). No dividend.

Chemex International, the chemical analyser, incurred pounds 13,000 taxable loss (profit pounds 52,000). Loss per share 0.03p (0.14p). No dividend.

Sheriff Holdings, the plant and tool leasing group, increased pre-tax profits to pounds 1.7m (pounds 686,000). Earnings per share 11.5p (6.7p). Total dividend is 3.75p (2p).

Southern Radio recorded higher pre-tax profits of pounds 956,000 (pounds 774,000). EPS 2.26p (2.02p). Total dividend is 1.25p (0.79p).

Six months to 31 October

Ewart, the property firm, recovered to pounds 351,000 pre-tax profit (loss pounds 260,000). EPS 1.86p (LPS 1.39p).

Seet, clothing fabrics maker, reduced taxable losses to pounds 46,000 (pounds 308,000), as operating costs fell to pounds 2.7m (pounds 4.5m). LPS 1.15p (7.68p).
