More than 20 of Europe's telecommunications operators last week staged a joint demonstration of advanced digital networks, to show customers that the continent now has an end-to-end ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network). A range of ISDN applications were demonstrated, including video telephones, and high-quality fax and data transfer over the phone lines. Both Mercury and BT took part.
