Innovation: Breathing easy

A British company has developed a human- style ventilator for animals during surgical procedures. Whereas existing models rely on mechanical valves or bellows, the Zoovent uses electronic pressure sensors to monitor airways and support breathing. Designed by Hillmore Electronics of Hanslope, Bucks, the Zoovent comes in two sizes for large or small animals.
