Innovation: Fax for the people

SCHLUMBERGER has developed a fax terminal for public use that accepts payment by magnetic stripe or smart card. Previous attempts to provide public fax services came unstuck because they used office- type machines with feed- through paper flow. These are prone to jamming and susceptible to vandalism. Publifax is robust and can be monitored remotely.
