Japanese consortium wins power contract
National Power said that a Japanese consortium of Sumitomo and Mitsibishi would build the $1bn Vizag power station in Andhra Pradesh, India, following competitive bidding. The company said British firms including Rolls-Royce and Babcock would take $200m worth of work on the project.
