Food beating drink at M&B
Food sales at Mitchells & Butlers have overtaken drink sales for the first time thanks to a strong performance at its Harvester restaurants.
The company said it made an underlying pre-tax profit of £63m in the six months to 9 April, down 14 per cent on the year, which reflected the sale of 333 pubs as it focused on food.
