Gym chain set to reveal record profits
Duncan Bannatyne is set to reveal record profits for his eponymous gym chain this week.
For 2010, it will report a pre-tax profit of £12.6m – up 38 per cent – on a turnover of £96m. Bannatyne put the growth down to the popularity of spa treatments. He opened two new spas over the year, taking the total number of Bannatyne Spas to 31 by the end of the period. The group has £20m to invest in growing the business.
