Insurers name IoS deputy editor as business journalist of the year

The Independent on Sunday's deputy business editor, Simon Evans, has been named business journalist of the year by the Association of British Insurers (ABI).

Evans's insurance scoops include Lloyds bringing in Deutsche to review its famous brands, including Scottish Widows and Clerical Medical. The ABI is one of the UK's most influential trade bodies, representing all of the major insurers. The award was sponsored by Standard Life.
