Hollywood fame will meet City slickers this week when the company that owns a half-stake in Natural Nylon joins the Ofex market. Union Media is the partner of film stars Jude Law and Sadie Frost (pictured), Ewan McGregor, Jonny Lee Miller and Sean Pertwee in the film production company, whose name is a play on New York and London. Tomorrow, Union will announce a deal to reverse into Transad, the aeroplane advertising group, whose shares are traded on Ofex.

Union Media is raising £2m in the deal. Rowan Courtney, its executive chairman, says the money will help it develop more projects for TV and the cinema.

Natural Nylon has just started shooting the historical drama Cromwell & Fairfax, starring Tim Roth, and Union will unveil its new TV drama, Rockface, at the Ofex Show, taking place at the Business Design Centre in Islington on Tuesday.

Union is best known for Masterchef, which it has made for more than a decade. Natural Nylon is in talks with Gwyneth Paltrow, the Oscar-winning film star and Anglophile.
