Private sector takes lead in Russian winter games
Investment in the $7.8bn construction programme for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, will come mostly from the private sector, says the games' chief organiser.
Dmitry Chernyshenko said that Sochi had expected investment to be split evenly between private and public sectors, but that business now accounted for 60 per cent of the total. He believes this involvement will grow, with particular interest in the games' hotel infrastructure.
