Red carpet maker's directors ousted
Two directors were ousted from the board of Victoria Carpets, the 117-year old maker of the red carpet at last year's Royal Wedding, yesterday after rebel shareholders won the day.
More than two-thirds of investors, including New Fortress Finance, succeeded in removing the chairman, Katherine Innes Ker, and the non-executive director David Garman from the boardroom. But the extraordinary general meeting saw Alexander Anton, Victoria's former chairman and a member of its founding family, re-elected as a non-executive. Geoff Wilding has become its chairman and Andrew Harrison has joined as a non-executive.
