WRG secures £12m cash for live events

A company specialising in managing live events such as the G20 summit and Papal visit has secured £12m backing from private equity firm Lloyds TSB Development Capital and the services of former BBC Chairman Lord Michael Grade. WRG Creative Communications, which is based in Manchester but has offices in London, New York and Qatar, designs, produces and manages live events.

The deal is LDC's tenth this year, following investments in music Magpie.co.uk, and Original Additions, beauty accessories.
