Outcome of sales suits Austin Reed as doubled pre-tax profits are revealed

Autumn sales at Austin Reed have jumped 12 per cent on last year, the upmarket clothing group said yesterday. The retailer reported doubled taxable profits of pounds 1.8m ( pounds 900,000) for the 28 weeks to August. The interim dividend is unchanged at 2p.
