PIA may rule against levy
The Personal Investment Authority, the financial services regulator, may rule out a compulsory levy on products as a way of solving the cash crisis of the Investors Compensation Scheme. The regulator, which last month contributed a pounds 16m levy to the compensation scheme, is set to issue a discussion document on how it should be funded.
