Deadly dog disease spreads

A lethal worm disease appears to be spreading among foxes and dogs in Britain. The parasite has been found in foxes for the first time, indicating that they are a reservoir of infection.

Vic Simpson, the Cornwall-based Ministry of Agriculture vet who discovered Angiostrongylus vasorum in foxes has observed cases spreading across the county. Cases have been reported in the South-east. Nicholas Schoon
