First Children's Laureate named

QUENTIN BLAKE, the illustrator and author, was named Britain's first Children's Laureate yesterday. He was awarded the pounds 10,000 prize by the Princess Royal at a ceremony in London. The title, to be awarded every two years, aims to highlight children's literature.
