Heart surgery for boy in fall

A 13-year-old boy who fell through a greenhouse was given open- heart surgery at the scene of the accident in Putney, south-west London, yesterday after a sliver of glass penetrated his heart.

The child was later in a "very serious condition" after being flown by helicopter to the Royal London Hospital, Whitechapel.
