Indecency suspect dead
A man under investigation by police over indecent assaults on young children died after he was struck in the face with a crossbow bolt. A police spokeswoman said no one else was being sought in connection with the death of the 77-year-old in a flat on the New Parks Estate, Leicester.
The man was visited by two police officers who wanted to question him about recent attacks on two girls and a boy in west London. After they were refused entry by the man, they used a master key to enter. They discovered him dying with a crossbow bolt through his eye. Michael Streeter
