Investor complains that show's producers have used money for advertisin g campaign
An investor in the hit musical Ain't Misbehaving has complained to the show's producers that money supplied by her and other "angels" or investors in the show, has been used for an advertising campaign.
Denise Chambers, a social worker, who put pounds 2,500 into the show has sent a solicitor's letter to executive producer Adrian Leggett pointing out that the show has been a sell-out and in profit every week, but dividends have not yet been paid to investors.
Mr Leggett said: "My judgement and that of my co-producers is that it would be in the interests of the show to spend somewhat more on the weekly advertising than we allowed for in the original weekly budgets."
He added that to make any distribution of dividends at this stage would be "premature".
