Jack Straw has emerged politically unscathed from the row over his son's alleged sale of cannabis to an undercover reporter, and his reputation may even have been enhanced according to a poll in today's Daily Telegraph.

More than two thirds, 69 per cent, said he was doing a good job as Home Secretary and 43 per cent said he had behaved "very well" over the accusation about his son.
