A 20-year-old man was dragged out of his girlfriend's home in south Belfast last night by a gang of armed and masked men who broke both his legs in a paramilitary type beating. Police said the man was visiting the house in the Lower Ormeau Road area when a number of masked men entered and dragged him out to a rear entry where they beat him with iron bars fracturing both legs.

And after an earlier attack a 21-year-old man was recovering following a beating by a gang claiming to be from the IRA. PA
