Current Twitter trends: Happy birthday Chris Brown, Sri Mulyani

"Happybdaychrisbrown" has leaped into the top of Twitter's most talked about topics list on May 5 as hundreds of Chris Brown fans wish the American singer a happy birthday via the microblogging network.

In second place is the term "OMGDarkSkinFact." The trend was started by the Twitter user @darkskin. Others are retweeting the "facts" he posts.

The name of Canadian singer Justin Bieber has moved up the chart two places to number three and is followed by the name of Indonesia's Finance Minister, "Sri Mulyani " Indrawati, who will likely be taking a position at the World Bank, it emerged Wednesday.

The music-related hashtag "nowplaying" has dropped four places and is now trending at number five, while "#iDoit2" is back in Twitter's most talked about topics at sixth as microbloggers spread the word that they do that thing, whatever it may be, too.

The Japanese term "#anisonzanmai" is new on the charts in tenth place.
