The name of hugely popular science fiction thriller Inception has shot back into the top of Twitter's most talked about topics on the morning of July 22.

The memes "#weallgotthatonefriend" and "#ifyoureallyknewme" both dropped one place overnight while "#howtospoilahoodrat" is new in fourth place.

Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan, more commonly known as "Murali," made it into the history books (and the fifth place on Twitter's top trending topics) when he became the first bowler to take 800 Test wickets on July 22.

The second largest comic convention in the world, "Comic-Con," opens July 22 in San Diego, California and people on Twitter are talking about the event.

"Alfred, fire up the Batwing! We're going to Comic-Con. And by "we" I mean "me." You have a Batcave to clean," tweeted @God_Damn_Batman. "

iPad application "Flipboard" - an app being hailed as the world's first "social magazine" - drops one place to number seven.

"Sorcerer," a term used to talk about Disney film The Sorcerer's Apprentice, and "CLR" a term being used as a replacement for the word "clear" have both also dropped one place an are now in eighth and ninth places respectively.

A reference to animated feature film Despicable Me ("Despicable") remains unchanged in tenth position.
