'The Independent' in line for Front Page of the Year

The Independent has been nominated for Front Page of the Year at the 2012 Press Awards. The striking cover of 9 August 2011 marked the night riots engulfed parts of London and beyond.

Meanwhile, The Independent's sister paper, i, has been shortlisted for Newspaper of the Year, and in the production and design team category.
