Ministers close teaching loophole
MINISTERS YESTERDAY closed a loophole in the law to prevent banned teachers from returning to the classroom. New rules will mean supply-teacher agencies will have to check whether staff are on the national list of people banned from teaching because of their past conduct or medical problems.
