A man was jailed for life for the murder of a young woman whose body has never been found. Teresa Shephard, 25, disappeared a year ago after going to meet a man in Sheffield. She has never been heard of since. During a three-week trial, Sheffield Crown Court was told that her ex- boyfriend, Peter Turner, was charged with her murder after spots of her blood were found in his car.

Turner, 23, of Doncaster Road, Worksop, Notts, denied he had seen her on the night she went missing, but he had a motive for killing the student because he had been charged with assault and she was due to give evidence against him.
