A LONG-TERM cash investment of more than pounds 100m in the future of Northern Ireland will be announced by the Chancellor, Gordon Brown, and the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, Mo Mowlam, when Mr Brown visits Belfast tomorrow, writes Anthony Bevins.

Mr Brown said on BBC1's On the Record yesterday that they were seeking to "build prosperity through peace and build peace through prosperity".
