Magnus Larsson, who was part of the Swedish team who won the Davis Cup last weekend, had his rented car blown up in front of his house in Vaexjoe yesterday. An explosive charge was placed underneath the vehicle, a Ford, which was seriously damaged.

Yevgeny Kafelnikov, the 1996 French Open champion from Russia, and Richard Krajicek, the former Wimbledon champion of the Netherlands, are the latest entries for the Guardian Direct Cup at Battersea Park.
