Adele dedicates Madison Square Gardens show to Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie after split
Singer tells the crowd news of 'Brangelina's' split has been 'playing on my mind'

When better to reflect on the end of a relationship than while listening to Adele?
On Monday, it was announced one of Hollywood’s most prominent couples, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, are to divorce with Jolie’s lawyer saying the split was for “the health of their family”.
While fans grieved for the couple on social media, the hysteria apparently trickled into A-List minds as Adele decided to dedicate her entire catalogue of break-up songs to the now estranged ‘Brangelina’ while performing in New York on Tuesday.
“Brad and Angelina have broken up,” she told a screaming crowd at the legendary Madison Square Gardens venue, captured by TMZ. “I don’t like gossiping and private lives should be private but I feel like it’s the end of an era so I’m dedicating this show to them.
“Honestly, I’m really sad, genuinely. I don’t know them at all, but I was shocked when I woke up this morning, no word of a lie. I’m glad I got that off my chest because it was playing on my mind.”
The 28-year-old Londoner has made three albums, classified by her age at the time, all reflecting on break-ups and make-ups. She has been in a relationship with charity boss Simon Konecki for five years and the couple has one child together.
