In perhaps one of the most unexpected cases of celebrities endorsing politicians, Azealia Banks has said she will be voting for Donald Trump.

In a series of tweets, the outspoken rapper told her 548,000 followers she will be voting for Mr Trump because he is “the only one who truly has the balls to bust up big businesses".

She concluded by explaining that although she thinks the Republican is “evil”, she believes America to be “evil” so “in order for America to keep up with itself it needs him.”

The 24-year-old also discussed Democrat party nominees Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, but apparently decided against voting for either of them.

She implied she believed Mr Trump was just the best out of a bad bunch.

Other individuals in the public eye who have made who their backing clear include Katy Perry, Lena Dunham, Demi Lovato and JJ Abrahms who have declared their support for Hillary Clinton. Likewise, Justin Long, Josh Hutcherson and the Red Hot Chili Peppers have publicly supported Bernie Sanders.

Mr Trump has been endorsed by Sarah Palin, Mike Tyson and Gary Bussey and, whike Hulk Hogan told reporters last August that he wanted to be the business mogul's running mate.
