Church appointments

The Right Rev Colin James, Bishop of Winchester, to retire at the end of March 1995.

Canon Michael Austin, to be Adviser for Bishops' Ministry to the Archbishops of Canterbury and York. He will remain a non-stipendiary Residentiary Canon of Southwell.

The Rev James Atwell,Vicar, Towcester with Easton Neston, diocese Peterborough, to be Provost of St Edmundsbury Cathedral, Bury St Edmunds, diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich.
