David Bowie’s son Duncan Jones has announced the birth of the late singer’s grandson, Stenton David Jones.

The World of Warcraft director said his wife Rodene Ronquillo gave birth to Stenton on 10 July, “exactly six months after his granddad made room for him”.

Bowie died on 10 January from cancer aged 69. His death was a shock to all but his immediate family and friends as Bowie chose to keep his 18-month fight against liver cancer private.

Jones, 45, his described his father as someone who had “a big gravitational pull on my life”.

“I was very fortunate we got a chance to say our goodbyes,” he said shortly after his death.

“Weird things make me miss him - I’m sure I always will - but it’s still early days. It’s tricky."
