The former CEO of Disney, Michael Eisner, has said that it is hard to find beautiful women who are also funny.

During an on-stage conversation at the Aspen Ideas Festival with legendary actress Goldie Hawn, Eisner said that one of the reasons why Hawn has been successful for so long is because she has these two qualities.

He said: From my position, the hardest artist to find is a beautiful, funny woman."

"They usually  - boy am I going to get in trouble, I know this goes online - but usually, unbelievably beautiful women, you being an exception, are not funny."

Hawn replied by saying her comedy comes from her being the "ugly duckling" while growing up, to which Eisner replied: "You didn't think you were beautiful."

"I know women who have been told they're beautiful, they win Miss Arkansas, they don't ever have to get attention other than with their looks. So they don't tell a joke."

"In the history of the motion picture business, the number of beautiful, really beautiful women, a Lucille Ball, that are funny, is impossible to find."

Eisner was the CEO of Disney from 1984 to 2005, in charge of the company as it released a string of successful films throughout the 1990s such as The Lion King and Aladdin, and as it opened a number of new theme parks in America and France.
