Lily Allen is undergoing therapy once again for reassurance that she is “not a bad person”.

The 28-year-old has sought professional advice to combat her personal issues.

“I had a session last week for the first time in a year,” she said. “It helps get my relationships in order.

“I have quite a lot of complicated relationships – lots of weird co-dependencies. And when I’m busy, things happen. I get quite confused about my place. I sometimes need someone to tell me I’m not a bad person.”

The star says that the sessions help her to manage her busy lifestyle, which has grown “manic” since she made her return to music last year. She previously checked into The Priory when she was 18 for depression.

“I try to mother everyone,” she said. “And trying to do that while relaunching a pop career and looking after two children got a bit much for a minute. I’d been so manic.”

Although Allen left her partying behind her long ago, she has now given up smoking too – prompted by her children. She has two daughters, Ethel, two, and Marnie, one.

“I looked at my cigarette and thought, ‘What am I doing?’ I want to do it as best I can,” she told Thebeatjuice.com.

“I don’t want to be a smoky-cokey mum. I hope I can keep it up. I do love smoking, but it just kills you.”

Having already cut out drinks and drugs, she says she doesn’t miss her wild, hedonistic lifestyle.

“It’s never as glamorous as it looks. It’s fun until 2am,” she said.

“I never once woke up and thought, ‘God, I had such a good chat with that person at 5am – I'm so glad I had unprotected sex with them.’”
